In class we are matched with reading buddies and we read a certain book. Our schedule is reading 25 pages each day, while making posts every 50 pages. Right now, three of us chose a book called The Pigman by the author named Paul Zindel. Before I read this book I got a gist of the book, and I think it will have a high value.
One of the main parts of this section is that the girl and her friends have this thing called the telephone Marathon which is basically a game where the friends have to dial a random number and talk to that stranger for as long as they could. The girl was dialed on a very special man named Mr. Pignati and he promised to give them ten dollars for the "L and J fund charity"
The setting of this book mainly is in the interior of the characters' house, which I think the author did a very good job on picking that spot. I think that, because It really gets mood of secured and no one knows who's calling who. Unlike in a building of what sort.
And also the perspective of the book really catches the whole idea of the feeling of the characters. For example the girl has great feelings that this man is not just a normal man, a unodirnary man. The friends realize that this man is a very nice man. Some of my questions, Will the man find out that it is just a prank call? Will the man be a best of friends with the characters?. Last one Will Mr. Pigman benefit from the ten dollars that he gave to the charity?

ReplyDeleteGood information Dandy. This is very detailed and I like some of the questions you asked. But when asked if they would become friends, it already says in the back that they would. So don't you already know?
ReplyDeleteHello dandy,
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate the way you put a lot of detail in this on the important point of the story. I have one question for you. Do you think Lorraine will still do prank call even after she felt bad about Mr. Pigman
I don't think so, beaucase they already pranked called Mr. Pignati.
ReplyDeleteWait, sorry I miss understood the question. I think she won't do it agian because she might feel more bad with other people if she keeps doing it.
ReplyDeleteI don't think she wants to make any more prank calls after feeling guilty about taking money from Mr. Pignati but John might convince her to keep making prank calls.
ReplyDeleteOk Dandy, thank you for answering my question and for listening to my comment.
ReplyDeleteI really like the answer Mega.
